Battle Of The Mixes

Last night I was honored to act as the Mistress of Ceremonies for the Fenwick “Dancing With The Stars,” Mother’s Club annual Fashion Show.  What a stellar evening planned by Sasse and her Dream Team.

We had it all, professional dancers from Extension Dance Co. in Chicago (serious talent here) fashions by redE, Modern Tuxedo in Countryside, Kie & Kate, Lord & Taylor, York Furriers, Mona Lisa and production by the outrageous and fabulous REVELATION PRODUCTIONS. Every planned moment of this show was perfection!  The synergy of all elements; including fashion, models, faculty, students, food, ambiance, prizes, guests, energy and organizers created a night to remember.  However, I must say, I particularly loved the music and effects of the program.

Johnny and Michael of Revelation Productions presented a super kefi-nated set of tunes, exciting lighting and fun sets to create our “Dancing With The Stars” ambiance.  As a former DJ, the music- a universal language, stood out to me because their line-up and attention to it,  set the mood, set the tone of our event.  Naturally, I had to ask the “guys,” if they have produced any slick, energizing and varietal music sets for working out? “But of course!”

I mentioned to Johnny and Michael that I need 2 hours of Kick a– music to fire up my kefi for threshold and hill bike training I’m about to do for Bike The West.  I need off the chart mixes that will make my hair stand on end, I need music that will make me shake it, but don’t break it baby, I need mixes that will have me cranking on the elevation rides to the tune of “I can do this.” You think I’m kidding?  MUSIC is the “PUSH” factor in a workout, and I need the best and I need variety.

Both Johnny and Michael offered to do the mix, but who do I pick?  The guys are going to create a special KEFI KIKI mix and battle this out for the spin.  May the best mixer win.  Results will be released when the “Kefi Mix Jams” are delivered.  In the meantime, TGIF, and keep moving to the tune of your favorite song!
