Feeling emotional today as I just finished a phone conversation with my dad.  A Greek immigrant from Corinth- Tasso now resides in Kansas City- I live in Chicago.   As I am now a grown woman, I still feel the need to hear his voice, and when I do, I’m reminded of his continual sage and sincere advice he is famous for and always imparted;  childhood through adulthood.

My dad and me on the right.

Honesty.  Whatever I’m doing, good or otherwise, he will shed reality and warnings on the situation.  Never judging only guiding. There really isn’t anything I couldn’t tell MY dad that would turn him against me.

Work ethic: No one can outwork him, a consummate entrepreneur – I get that from him,  he always has a new idea and implements it. Work never scared my dad, he gravitates to it, but so does his energy to live life.

Focus: He’s got uncanny focus. When Tasso puts his mind to something, consider it a reality.  Although my mother has much to do with this…more on that next time, he just does not get bogged down with the chatter- he cuts right through it.

Time: He always has time for me, never would he push me away. We like talking to each other, most of the time!

Love:  My dad loves me and I really love him.

Kefi: Webster’s dictionary should have my dad’s picture next to the word KEFI!  He lives life with passion, energy and gusto.  I hope I will have his Kefi all the days of my life.

Enrich your life today by working on your relationships!
