Day 2 of 12 Week Training
Just completed week one- day 2 of my Cycling program for Bike The West. Physically I feel tired, but emotionally I feel so great to have completed my assigned workout.
As seen below…the ride was for endurance.
ENERGY DRINKS INTRODUCED
Of course its imperative to drink plenty of water, but when you are doing strenuous workouts for over an hour, consuming the correct amount of electrolytes is critical. Hydrate is specially formulated for all-out performance with the ideal ratio of carbohydrates and electrolytes that replaces what you lose when you sweat and improves endurance. I’m not being paid to say this, I’m just sharing new and exciting things that are working for me. Conversely, I will share what doesn’t work.
Upon my assigned workout completion, I had a protein with carb- yogurt and fruit as I did feel a little shakey. My ride was an hour 15 and I completed 32 miles. WAKE-UP…I have some work to do in preparation of riding 72 miles this June.
