It’s Not Too late To Work For That BeachBody

What does your Beach Body look like?

A beach body is not a size zero or one that is 14 percent body fat.  A beach body is tone, tight and fit.  Every day I’m working at getting a great beach body.

Eating lean and light is the first and most important step we can take towards achieving a healthy body, and then the workouts must be implemented to achieve a fit body.

Experts agree that setting a goal will be a motivating factor towards achieving your result.  Be accountable by taking your measurements so you can stay on track.  Do 30-60 minutes of cardio a week, and alternate sessions with walking, jogging, running, swimming, cycling etc.  You may want to take a class or better yet, pop in  a video to get the job done.  Lately, I’ve been doing Autumn Calabrese 21 Day Fix workouts and they are challenging enough, quick- only 30 minutes, and total body for the week.

According to Ryan Wood, editor of, here are the seven best exercises for a full body workout:

Pike Roll outs

Clean and Jerk

Use fitness pal or write in down in a tablet.  I have been logging my nutrition in  fitbit for about a year and it keeps me accountable.  Every day is not a perfect nutrition day, but every day I have a very good idea if I’m in the correct range of eating the proper amount of allotted food and the proper nutrition.  Research shows that people who keep food diaries lose more weight than those than don’t.  Simply put, logging your food is a visible way of seeing what you have eaten.

Workout with a buddy

Do not skip a healthy breakfast

Drink 8-12 glasses of  water every day

Eat fruits and veggies – they are super nutritious and they fill  you up

Remember why you started

Give yourself a break occasionally

Start today, and make small changes, but honor them and add modifications as you have mastered the original changes.   As Autumn says…

“If you are tired of starting over, stop giving up!”

These are tips I have learned and implemented over the years, but if you need a master trainer to help you…Jill loves helping people reach their personal best body!!

See you at the beach
