Getting to your goal whether its weight related, relationship related, job related, money related, energy related or wellness related all boils down to your decision and focus to do so.
Let me be clear; my experience is speaking to you here, and so is my personal journey relating to my weight loss result, which I set back in September 2014, it was on the 15th day of that year to be exact, and it seems like yesterday. The clock ticks no matter what you do, but what will you do?
The promise I made to myself at the beginning of Lean Lifestyle, and it stands to this day, was that I would have reached my goal of 24 pounds lost by my 2 year anniversary of beginning the program. The first 13 came off relatively fast, within 7 months, and then I began to slowly lose after that crawling to the finish line and making some excuses along the way. For the past 6 months I’ve been this close…….to my original goal with 2 months remaining on the clock.
Even though the last two weeks I made a shift to get the last few stinkers off, and I did drop 1.5 pound since July 10, today’s measurements were a wakeup call to the game I’ve been playing. The tape measure revealed I wanted something, but not exactly. My intention has not been set in stone, and I haven’t consistently followed through on my goal because of this mental activity. I’ve kept my promise to myself to an extent, but not fully and wholly, which I fully realize that 80 percent just won’t cut it.
The focus shifts from how will I keep it off, how will I have fun at parties, there’s no way I can do this because it would have been done sooner….and on and on with the bogus clutter that I’ve allowed to enter my brainwaves to the following which I will adhere to until my promise to me is fulfilled:
A specific plan executed every morning and followed to a T, that I applied and proved successful at the start of the program:
3 balanced and clean meals with a protein, healthy carb, fat and veggie
12 glasses of water every day
workout 6 days a week
Shakeology (most nutritious meal of the day) every morning
2 snacks including a protein and a healthy carb
No nibbling on fruit all day
Limit eating out
Plan every day’s meal the night before
Sleep sound with the help of lavender essential oil diffused in my boudoir
Focus on those four pounds not all the “What Ifs”
This is my renewed commitment to ME
You may be this close …to your specific goal or maybe you are just getting started. In any event please consider the lessons I’ve learned along the way.
Not everyone will get to the finish line using the same strategy or timetable, and the sooner we realize that and do what works for us, the sooner we stop comparing ourselves and the sooner we will….

6- GETTING SUPPORT
7-CHECKING IN WITH YOURSELF
9-MODIFYING and most importantly…..
10-NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER GIVING UP. ACHIEVE THE RESULT YOU DESERVE EVEN IF IT TAKES A LONG TIME.
My opinion: Its ok to pause and take a break, but by golly get back on the train and ride the tracks in a slightly new direction with a fierce focus.
This is what I did, and I’m so happy that I have kept off all the weight I have lost, but I still not at the magic number and NOW I’M READY TO BE- SO LAST FOUR LBs ——IT’S NOW…
GO TIME, PUSH, DO IT, FOCUS, NO EXCUSES, THIS IS IT, NEVER GOING BACK WHICH MEANS THIS IS “MAKE IT OR BREAK IT TIME.”
I’ll worry about how I will keep the result once I hit my mark….in the meantime I need some self motivation and if you are in the market for it too- then enjoy these fabulous quotes.
