Chicago Chicago – My Kind Of Town!

Chicago has been my home for over two decades, and every year that passes I fall more in love with this great, hospitable and energetic city.

World class museums, the gorgeous lakefront,  the finest and most fun restaurants, the nicest people, world renowned architecture, celebrated neighborhoods, vibrant shopping, super cool Willis (Sears) Tower and of course our National championship Sports teams make Chicago the toddling town it is !!!!

BULLS  are known for having one of the NBA’s greatest dynasties, winning six NBA championships between 1991 and 1998 with two three-peats. All six championship teams were led by Hall of Famers Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen and coach Phil Jackson.  The Bulls are the only NBA franchise to win multiple championships and never lose an NBA Finals series in their history.  Source: google

BLACKHAWKS are equally impressive winning six Stanley Cup championships since their founding in 1926. The Blackhawks are one of the “Original Six” NHL teams along with the Detroit Red Wings, Montreal Canadiens, Toronto Maple Leafs, Boston Bruins, and New York Rangers.  Since 1994, the club’s home rink is the United Center.  The club had previously played for 65 years at Chicago Stadium.  Source: google

These are the teams that play, perform and electrify fans at United Center, and that is why I loved attending the Premium Seating Party last night.  Thank you to everyone who made the fun possible, including Val Tanaka, a longtime friend and Senior Premium Seating Manager for United Center.

You can imagine how grand it was for part of my family and me to attend the Premium Seating Party last night and mingle, get to know players, coaches and Hall of Famers! (Thanks Brian!)  The evening provided excellent food and drink with an overall glimpse of why Chicago is #1  with its sports fans!

Touring the Blackhawks Locker room was fun.  We got to see each player’s cubby and all their gear.  Here I am pictured in front of my favorite player’s locker : Niklas Hjalmarsson.  I had the privilege of sitting right in front of the ice one game and seeing this elite hockey player play his heart out.  My experience observing Hjalmarrson skate the grueling game of ice hockey reinforced the rule: “Nothing or no one can beat you when you work HARD!

It was really fun to meet up again with Chicago Bull Toni Kukoc who years ago supported Kiki’s Krew Diabetes Walk by attending our fundraiser at Potawattamie Park in St. Charles.  Besides the legacy of playing with the Chicago Bulls in the 90’s,  Toni played in two Olympics!

Feeling Like A Champion!!!!

Great to run into Curtis Baddeley United Center Premium Seating with Chuck Swirsky– play by play voice of the NBA Chicago Bulls.  Chuck was an excellent and interesting radio guest on The Kiki Vale Show back in 2008

An absolute thrill to see Taylor Wilder, Bulls Official photographer and Photographer at the Summer 2016 RIO Olympics!

Pictured on KV front homepage is Head Coach of The Chicago Blackhawks Joel Quenneville with me. Coach has won three of 3 Stanley Cup titles! What an honor to meet this dynamic leader in person and have a few minutes to chat about wrestling of all sports!

Hope you each get a chance to attend a Bulls/Blackhawks game this season, and further more always carve out a little time to get your KEFI on when you visit
