My Life Used To Be Complicated

On that subject:
My mood, attitude disposition etc used to rotate alot around other people’s actions, but not anymore.
The past decade has been trial and error with trying to figure out to feel better, live stronger, be happier, get healthier and sleep sounder. My experience and discovery boils down to setting healthy boundaries for myself and others. My friend and former athletic trainer, Lisa, used to coach me to run towards vitality and to live healthier.
We had some empowering and tearful conversations during my Tempo/Speed runs, and they had to do with putting my health first above all. I learned the value of the word “NO!” People can come at us with many requests, some helpful, some not. In the middle of this thing we call life, it’s important for us not to abandon ourselves, and instead we must be vigilant in caring for ourselves. When we care for and love ourselves we can then proceed with creating healthy boundaries, which will help us thrive personally & professionally!

Better to not to react to a person- instead thoughtfully deliberate and respond thereafter
My beliefs are valid even when other’s opinions are not in sync
When someone disagrees with me, its not personal
My family comes first

Having strong boundaries means exercising control over what ideas and opinions we take in, and which we disregard.
