JUMP ROPE TO BREAK THROUGH TO THE OTHER SIDE
HAPPY HUMP DAY?!
That’s the least of my problems…holidays, my birthday, my sister’s birthday, my son’s birthday, my daughter’s birthday, the weather changing, a plateau, travel, parties, good times, comfort zone and some other stuff I’m sure, are messing with my #Kefi. Don’t get me wrong, I still have #Kefi, but I need to channel it a little tighter. Hump day, like all the other things I’m facing are just regular events that take turns popping up in life and that’s not going to change, but I have to.
WORK THROUGH IT!
This is my motto to get me through to goal. It’s only six pounds that I have been trying to lose for the past six months. I’ve gotten as close as 5 pounds to go, and then I see the number on the scale and I get comfortable and loosen up on the reins. It’s a mindset at this point, and I’m struggling a bit. I’m down 20 pounds over a 2 year period and I feel so much better than I did back in September of 2014, and the pain is not driving me anymore. I’ve got to get back to the WHY! These last 6 pounds will make a difference on my joints, my body, my mind and my overall health. I want to be in the 2 percent of people who go the extra mile to keep a fit and strong body in the midst of life.
NUTRITION WITH JILL : it’s good but not precise. At this point in the game I must be precise with nutrition. I continue to learn recipes, eat three meals a day, drink my shakoelogy, recover with Beachbody, hydrate and apply my essential oils. It’s all good, just need to measure portions and be precise with food. Jill told me, “You are going to be a little hungry,” I need to translate that into a metaphor: HUNGRY FOR MY GOAL!
WORKOUTS WITH SAGI: going great as I continue to do Hammer and Chisel with Sagi and Autumn. Not gonna lie, workouts are challenging especially the Bulgarian Squat and Pistol Squat I did today. Exercises were not perfect, but they were completed by me! Whew, happy that’s over. Sagi says “There are reasons and there are results.” My reasons have to resonate with me, and honestly they do!
MIX IT UP WITH AUSTIN:
Since it all boils down to precise nutrition this point, and I’m just doing the best I can in the food category, I’ve decided to add something to the mix, which is to burst the endurance and burn some extra calories. Austin, a BIG TEN PURDUE wrestler has suggested from his own personal training experience, that I jump rope as an excellent way to increase endurance and get the added calorie burn. Austin: “I do 2 minute bursts of jumping with a minute in between and repeat 8 to 10 times. You can do it as your warm-up.” Today, that is what the Kefi-nator did, but I modified, I jumped 6 sets. I loved it because jumping did warm up the muscles and I broke a sweat before even starting Chisel and Balance workout today. Big thumbs up to a Big Ten wrestler who simply shared a little tip to jumpstart me again!!!!
As you my friend continue your effort with your goals, consider mixing up the program and of course always WORK THROUGH IT!
