The Allure of Autumn!

KALO MINA-

Every first day of the month Greeks greet each other with this expression which means “A good month to you!”  Most Greek people I know have #Kefi-Positive Energy and we like to share- so here goes…..

As I was dropping off the kids to school this morning, I did the usual slow drive by my favorite tree and took in its beauty.  Then I found myself driving all round the neighborhood snapping pics of other beautiful trees, which brighten my day, every day.  This act of “pause and reflect” reminded me that all too often we are usually in a big hurry to get to the next destination and neglect to see the absolute grandeur in front of us.

TRULY- LIFE IS A MATTER OF WHAT WE SET OUR EYES UPON

To make the experience even more delightful on this first day of November, one of my favorite songs came on the radio.  I cranked up the volume, I let the sun illuminate me, I felt the power of NOW and I reveled in all that is in front of me.

As you enjoy the pictures of the gorgeous trees I am posting here, follow up the act of looking with the act of doing…

Lyrics in UNWRITTEN:
found on Google Music Play

I am unwritten
Can’t read my mind
I’m undefined
I’m just beginning
The pen’s in my hand
Ending unplanned

Staring at the blank page before you
Open up the dirty window
Let the sun illuminate the words that you could not find

Reaching for something in the distance
So close you can almost taste it
Release your inhibitions
Feel the rain on your skin
No one else can feel it for you
Only you can let it in
No one else, no one else
Can speak the words on your lips
Drench yourself in words unspoken
Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins
The rest is still unwritten

Oh, oh, oh

I break tradition
Sometimes my tries are outside the lines
We’ve been conditioned to not make mistakes
But I can’t live that way

Staring at the blank page before you
Open up the dirty window
Let the sun illuminate the words that you could not find

Reaching for something in the distance
So close you can almost taste it
Release your inhibitions
Feel the rain on your skin
No one else can feel it for you
Only you can let it in
No one else, no one else
Can speak the words on your lips
Drench yourself in words unspoken
Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins

Feel the rain on your skin
No one else can feel it for you
Only you can let it in
No one else, no one else
Can speak the words on your lips
Drench yourself in words unspoken
Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins
The rest is still unwritten

Staring at the blank page before you
Open up the dirty window
Let the sun illuminate the words that you could not find

Reaching for something in the distance
So close you can almost taste it
Release your inhibitions
Feel the rain on your skin
No one else can feel it for you
Only you can let it in
No one else, no one else
Can speak the words on your lips
Drench yourself in words unspoken
Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins

Feel the rain on your skin
No one else can feel it for you
Only you can let it in
No one else, no one else
Can speak the words on your lips
Drench yourself in words unspoken
Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins
The rest is still unwritten
The rest is still unwritten
The rest is still unwritten

Oh, yeah, yeah

ENJOY THE MONTH!
