A Single Step
I used to dread routines and systems, but they have found new life in mine. Routines and systems help me stay on track and enforce tiny improvements as I go along my journey. Although I’ve still to meet some of my goals, timing is everything, I continue to build my base and improve my stride as to be ready when “my time”arrives.
Working out with purpose, eating optimally and getting quality sleep are three systems I have in place and I concentrate on daily. Why? Because these routines keep me physically strong and mentally sharp to keep me in the game of life. Furthermore, today during Spin class my the teacher solidified that there are a select few people/trainers/coaches who motivate me; it’s just their style or my chemistry with them that makes me want to get better. Kendra was the Spin teacher today, and she with her approach got me to do more than I was planning on doing.
“Subtle start- build progressively and push to make it count.”
Kendra’s mantra and Tao is right…
“A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.”
We don’t have to move mountains all in one day, but every day we make a step eventually gets us to the top!
Every day, tweak and improve -somehow some way!!
Kendra is accurate when she reminds the class to “Work with in what your are comfortable but step outside of that.”
We can learn so much from our workouts and routines and they lead us to learn about ourselves! Let us promise ourselves to every day to get a little better.
Let’s do this…..
