Happy Day!

First things first…are you  keeping it positive and bright; find a way to do it, every day my mother teaches me to do so.

This is my mother as a child in Greece. To this day she still has the same loving eyes, the warm smile, and the essence of survival and strength.

My life long friend and blessed mother Katina is in the hospital, and we are getting closer and closer to her clinical trial in Nebraska.  The road continues to be rocky, but we are holding steady in prayer and faith.

In the meantime, today my sister presented me with a picture of my parents when they were newly married, mom 20 and dad 27.  The picture is a glimpse into my entire life; the pillars of my youth and the influence of my ethos.  The snapshot of my young parents reminded me of the meaning and importance of family.

Anything that grows requires nurturing, guidance, influence and perseverance; meet the epitome of this requirement:  Katina and Tasso – my parents. Two people who upheld the COMITTMENT  to their family through thick and thin.  Always available, always loving and always together.  Easy – no – but worth it YES. The strength and bond of a loving family is far greater than any thing else you can experience in your personal development.

I think this is the point, to hold tight to what’s important in life; our relationships, our children,  our spouses.  Family is love, respect, patience, trust, listening, availability and dedication.

Don’t give up on family. Fight for your family.
