Positive Affirmations-Why They Are Important

When I was 12 years old, I knew I would become a broadcaster one day.
When I was in the ninth grade, some people use the verbiage freshman year, but I like to say ninth grade, I began to actively seek out ways to make my dreams come true.
I was proactive in my dreaming by doing that which broadcasters do, speaking on in puclic, participating in speech/debate competitions and honing my verbal and communication skills.
I also- needed encouragement during my training, so I read Zig Ziglar’s book,

At 14 years old, this book changed my life. The instruction focused on how to avoid stinking thinking, and hardening of the attitudes. Zig calls his teaching

The positive thinking behind why you should succeed is crucial, and this I know to be true.
ENTER POSITIVE AFFIRMATIONS
What are affirmations? Affirmations are
positive statements that describe a desired situation or goal, and the are frequently repeated, as to get the words impressed on the subconscious mind.
When you say the affirmation repeatedly, these words motivate, inspire and train the brain to act according to the words repeated. This simple, yet powerful process triggers the subconscious to strive and work on the person’s behalf, to make the affirmation come true.
According to a number of psychologists, most people repeat in their minds negative words and statements, and therefore create undesirable situations.
“Words work both ways.”
Build or destroy a situation, with your words and yourself.
Pay attention to your words when in a situation…
Do you say….< can do it, I can do it!” OR “This is too hard, I cannot do it.” Whatever you think and say is what transpires! Are you interested in an easy way to motivate you to goal? If so, practice positive affirmations this way: 1-Choose your affirmation, and make it short. 2-Write it down on a notecard 3-Repeat your affirmation every day many times or for five minutes 4-Pay attention to what you are saying when you repeat affirmations 5-BELIEVE your words 6-Choose positive words in your affirmation. Instead of saying, “I am losing weight,” say instead “I have my ideal weight.” 7-Use the present tense. Instead of “I will be,” say “I am ...now.” SOME KEFI AFFIRMATIONS:
I will not give up, I will re-direct.
will try every conceivable way
Giving up is easy
I press on because I believe in my path.
I must remember what awaits me at the finish
